The Mitsubishi Ki-46, codenamed “Dinah” by the Allies, was a twin-engine reconnaissance aircraft used by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force. The Ki-46-III variant featured improved engines and aerodynamics, making it one of the fastest Japanese aircraft of WWII. In its interceptor role, some were equipped with a 37 mm cannon and two 20 mm cannons, intended to engage high-flying B-29 bombers.
