MiniArt 53055 is a self-assembly model of a German 3-ton cargo truck (Opel Blitz type) converted into a mobile anti-aircraft platform with a triple MG 151/20 mount, in 1:35 scale. An appealing subject for urban and frontline dioramas.

Note: the set does not include glue, paints or modelling tools. The model is intended for self-assembly.

Assembly:

The model includes a full engine and many small parts; we recommend dry-fitting the elements. Some of the cargo-bed latches and thin details can be replaced with photo-etched parts (attached with cyanoacrylate glue). The engine bonnet can be shown open or closed.

We recommend applying the decals over a gloss coat, which limits the risk of decal silvering, and after drying sealing them with a matt or satin coat.

About the vehicle – German 3t truck with MG 151/20:

Three-ton trucks (including the Opel Blitz) were the standard transport vehicles of the German armed forces during the Second World War. Mounting a triple 20 mm MG 151/20 aircraft cannon (the "Drilling") on the cargo bed created an improvised mobile anti-aircraft platform, used to protect columns and frontline positions.
