Mr.Hobby CRE02 Cerulean Blue is part of the Mr.Color Revival series, which brings back popular shades from previous Mr.Hobby paint lines. This color originates from the AUTO COLOR series, which reproduced authentic automotive paint tones. The glossy finish makes it perfect for model cars, motorcycles, and other miniatures that require a realistic lacquered appearance.

The Mr.Color Revival series features limited reissues of sought-after and discontinued colors from Mr.Hobby's past lineup. Among them are Cranberry Red Pearl, Cerulean Blue, and British Green – shades inspired by real-world automotive colors from the AUTO COLOR range.

Mr.Hobby C series paints are high-quality, solvent-based acrylics with excellent color accuracy, rich pigment, and outstanding durability.

These paints have a strong odor due to their solvent content and are sometimes incorrectly referred to as “lacquer paints.” Unlike many acrylic or vinyl paints, C series paints do not clog airbrushes and are easy to clean from tools. When properly thinned, they are among the best paints for airbrushing models. The full range includes over 220 aircraft, armor, ship, and automotive colors, developed to match real shades and finishes – matte, semi-gloss, or gloss.

Brush painting – according to the manufacturer – is possible, but our experience shows that it's very difficult and gives poor results. We don't recommend those paints for paintbrushing. If you don't own an airbrush, we suggest that you use AK Interactive 3 Gen acrylics, Vallejo Model Color or Hataka from B(lue) line acrylic paints.

Shake and stir thoroughly before use. Thin with Mr.Color Thinner (available in 50, 110, 250, and 400 ml bottles) or Mr.Color Leveling Thinner (available in 110 and 400 ml bottles). Leveling Thinner improves spray quality and final finish. Recommended thinning ratio: 1–1.5 parts paint to 3 parts thinner.

C series paints are very stable and can be stored for a long time if sealed properly. If the paint becomes too thick, Mr.Color Replenishing Agent will restore its working consistency without affecting performance.

They dry quickly, but depending on thinner type and ratio, full curing may take up to 24 hours.

Suitable for plastic models and figures, but also adheres to metal and resin miniatures. Can be applied directly to the surface, but we recommend priming first for optimal adhesion.
