Real Touch markers are used for making weathering and wear effects - mostly on Gundam plastic kits

marker is filled with a waterbased acrylic paint that won't react with painted surface. Best results are achieved on a matt surface e.g. painted using Mr.Super Clear Matt or Mr.Topcoat Matt. Use the marker to make a rough outline of the effect and then feather and blend it with model's surface using GM400 Real Touch Grading Marker. Finally we can use a cotton bud to dry the surface and make final adjustments to the effect we wanted.

Each marker has two tips - thicker and thinner, so we can choose proper one for the effect and area we want to paint it on.

Mr.Hobby hobby marker line is made for accenting and painting model kits of mecha from a popular Japanese Gundam series, however they will find their use in building other model kits.

Markers are divided into several subgroups, which makes finding a proper marker for the task easy. All markers are filled with an ink or paint with a water or alcohol base which provides optimal adhesion even to unpainted plastic and is easy to remove in case of a mistake.
