Analog or digital control – what to choose?

Digital control allows independent operation of multiple locomotives on the same track using constant voltage and unique commands. Analog layouts power all locomotives together, limiting realism. Upgrading to digital opens new possibilities for realistic train operations.

About the EP09 locomotive:

The EP09 was developed in Poland in the late 1980s to support high-speed passenger trains at speeds up to 160 km/h. A total of 47 locomotives were built by H. Cegielski in Poznań between 1986 and 1997. These units became the backbone of fast intercity service in Poland throughout the 1990s and early 2000s.

Used on routes between Warsaw, Kraków, Gdynia, and Wrocław, the EP09 is known for its robust performance and compatibility with air-conditioned coaches. During Era V, it represented a step forward in modernization of Polish railways and remains a recognizable symbol of that period.
