H0 scale model of 50 2146-4 steam locomotive Deutsche Reichsbahn
This model represents the steam locomotive 50 2146-4 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn, one of the most widespread and versatile freight locomotives in Europe. It depicts an epoch III–IV version used in East Germany, featuring a three-dome boiler and Witte smoke deflectors.

The BR 50 locomotives were among the most versatile standard freight locomotives in Germany. Designed for use on both main lines and branch lines, they became a backbone of freight transport.
After World War II, many of these locomotives remained in East Germany, where they continued to play an important role. Over time, various locomotive-tender combinations were introduced, including Neubau tenders, which improved performance but were not always comfortable for the crew.
