This model represents the heavy steam locomotive 150.Y.16 of the French State Railways (SNCF). Derived from the German BR 52 class, these locomotives were adapted for operation in France and are depicted here in an epoch III version with a black and green livery.

About the 150.Y locomotives:

The 150.Y locomotives were the French version of the German wartime BR 52 engines. Built during 1943–1944 and shortly after World War II, more than 100 units entered service with SNCF.

One notable feature was the shortened chimney, adapted to meet the French loading gauge. These locomotives operated mainly in eastern France, hauling both heavy freight and passenger trains until the late 1950s.
