Tamiya 69951 – primer for Mirror Paint, 23 ml

Tamiya 69951 is a primer developed specifically for use with Tamiya 69950 Mirror Paint. Its role is to create a smooth, deep black, glossy base on which the mirror paint reaches its full gloss. The quality of this base largely determines the final chrome effect.

The product is ready to use and requires no thinning; it can be applied with an airbrush or a brush. The primer should be applied thinly – too thick a coat may damage the plastic surface. It must not be applied over acrylic or enamel paints, and it may also damage surfaces previously coated with lacquer, so it is worth testing before working on the model.

How to use:

Apply a thin coat of primer to a clean, prepared surface and let it dry fully (it is advisable to wait a while before the next stage). Then apply Tamiya 69950 Mirror Paint. Clean tools after use with Tamiya cleaner.
