Zebrano 100-311P4 contains four resin miniatures of the Italian Carro Armato P26/40 heavy tank. Developed to counter Allied and Soviet tanks, the P26/40 featured a 75 mm gun and thick armor, finally bringing Italian armor closer to international standards. Introduced in 1943, it saw limited service and was used mainly by the Wehrmacht after Italy’s surrender.

About the Carro Armato P26/40

The Carro Armato P26/40 was an Italian heavy tank designed in the early 1940s. Armed with a 75 mm gun and fitted with up to 60 mm of armor, it was Italy’s attempt to modernize its armored forces. Entering service late in the war, it was used in limited numbers by the Italian army and later by the Germans. Although it had little impact on the conflict, it remains a notable example of Italian WWII tank design.
