1:72 scale plastic model kit of the Polikarpov I-16 Type 5
This Zvezda kit represents the Polikarpov I-16 Type 5, one of the most innovative fighter aircraft of the 1930s. Featuring retractable landing gear, a compact airframe, and excellent maneuverability, the I-16 played a key role in several conflicts before and during the early phase of World War II. The model reflects these characteristics with accurate proportions and well-molded details.

Its agility and climb performance were impressive for the era, though the aircraft demanded skillful handling from its pilots.
