The paints have an exclusive formula with less oil for more matte finishes and a perfect balance between medium and premium pigments. Abteilung 502 oils are one of the longest-lasting model weathering products on the market. The refreshed series has been supplemented with several new colors. Abteilung 502 series paints are long-drying oil art paints.

The paints are great for most weathering techniques. They can be used to create washes, filters, create chiaroscuro, overpaint and blur transitions between colors. They are great for the so-called ladybug technique, i.e. changing the base color by applying and mixing several contrasting colors. Thanks to the oil base, the effects obtained can be easily improved using dedicated thinners or white spirit. The paints do not dry out in tubes and can be easily used for many years. They are not suitable for painting the base color on plastic models.
