This set contains 8 turned metal barrels in 356 mm calibre, representing the main armament barrels of the Japanese ship Kongo. A turned metal barrel improves the geometry and appearance of the main gun turrets in 1:350 scale compared with injection-moulded parts.

Eight barrels correspond to the ship's full main armament, mounted in four twin turrets.
