About the Bedford MWD:

The Bedford MWD was a light military truck produced in the United Kingdom between 1939 and 1945. Based on the civilian Bedford MW, it served as a General Service vehicle in the British Army. The open cab aeroscreen version was especially common in the early years of the war, such as during the French campaign and the North African operations. With its simple, robust design and ease of maintenance, the MWD became a dependable transport solution. More than 200,000 MW series trucks were built, forming the backbone of light transport for British forces.

  • Width: 2.03 m
  • Height: 2.28 m
  • Weight: approx. 2.1 t
  • Powerplant: 6-cylinder Bedford 3.5 l petrol engine, 72 hp
