A set of photo-etched brass railings reproducing the railings used on German ships during World War II, in 1:700 scale. The number and spacing of the railing lines correspond to the characteristics of the German navy.

The railings are intended for detailing the decks and superstructures of German ship models. The plastic model is not included and is sold separately.

Photo-etched ship details – precise elements for ship models

Photo-etched railings are thin, openwork railings made of brass sheet, with a line spacing typical of German ships. They solve the problem of thick railings moulded in plastic, unachievable in 1:700 scale while keeping their see-through character.

The pattern-correct arrangement of railing lines increases the fidelity of a German ship's reproduction. It is a proposal for modellers building Kriegsmarine models.

How to use:

The individual parts are cut from the brass fret, and railings are gently bent along the edge of the deck or superstructure to match the shape of the model. The details are attached with cyanoacrylate glue and, once cured, can be painted with modelling paints in the colour of the hull or deck.
