Thinner specially developed for acrylic paints. Contains a retarder to slow down the drying time. Great for diluting acrylic paints when painting with an airbrush. Thanks to the retarder, it reduces the problem with acrylic paint drying too fast and clogging the airbrush. It can also be used to overcook paint for brush painting. We recommend adding at least 30% thinner to the paint when airbrushing base coats. The proportion of thinner can be increased as needed for applying clear coats, varnishes, shading or other effects. The product is non-toxic and odorless. Dedicated to painting with Ammo of Mig paints from the Atom series, but can be used with other water-based acrylic paints.
Thinner is an indispensable agent when painting with any modeling paint, whether by brush or airbrush.
The right thinner reduces the viscosity and density of the paint, allowing it to pass through the airbrush nozzle on the one hand, or to spread evenly on the surface when painting with a brush. You should always choose the right thinner for the paint you are painting - usually the safest option is to buy the one recommended by the paint manufacturer. This way you will certainly not deteriorate the properties of the paint. There are three main types of model paints - oil paints, which can also be thinned with white spirit, turpentine or extraction gasoline, water-based acrylic paints, which can be thinned with water or alcohol, and paints based on organic solvents, which require the right chemistry for dilution. When painting with a brush, it is usually enough to add a small amount of thinner, just to thin it a little. When painting with an airbrush, paints should be diluted much more heavily - in a ratio of at least 3:1 (in favor of the thinner). It is important that in the tank the paint has a consistency similar to milk.
