Ammo Mig 20947 ATOM – paint set for Egyptian MiG-17 fighters

Ammo Mig 20947 is a set of four ATOM acrylic paints matched to reproducing the distinctive camouflage of Egyptian MiG-17 fighters. The set makes it easy to choose the right colours for a model and to reproduce the painting scheme seen on these aircraft.

ATOM paints are water-based and optimised for maximum performance with both brush and airbrush.

They stand out for self-levelling and fast drying, as well as strong covering power. They are also very durable, so acrylic and oil weathering products, as well as decal solutions, can be applied over them without trouble. The paints are sold in a new transparent 20 ml bottle with a new cap that can be opened and closed with one hand.

The paints are non-toxic and odourless.

They work very well for brush painting. They are also suitable for airbrushing, especially when you prefer to avoid strong-smelling paints. The paints are intended for plastic models and figures, but can also be used on card, wood and resin models. They can equally be used for hobby work unrelated to modelling.

For airbrushing, the paints must be thinned. We recommend the original Ammo Mig 20501 (20511 and 20521) Acrylic Thinner with Retarder, though other thinners for typical acrylic paints can also be used.

Uses

The set is useful for painting MiG-17 fighter models in Egyptian colours, in various scales. The chosen colours (sand, brown, dark green and a light blue underside) let you reproduce the typical desert camouflage of these aircraft.
