About the set:

In 2003, German forces joined the ISAF mission in Afghanistan, marking a new era of overseas operations. Standard NATO camouflage proved unsuitable for the local environment, leading to the development of temporary Umtarnfarben schemes adapted to arid terrain.

These colours were applied to a wide range of vehicles, including the ATF Dingo, Fuchs, Marder 1A5, PzH 2000, Leopard 2A6M and Boxer. Their distinctive appearance also made them popular on demonstration and prototype vehicles.

This set allows modellers to accurately recreate these unique camouflage schemes without the need for mixing colours.

ATOM series paints are modern water-based acrylic paints designed for maximum performance with both brush and airbrush.

They feature excellent self-levelling properties, fast drying time and high covering power. Their formula allows for smooth, even finishes without streaks or marks. Once dry, they create a durable surface suitable for further work with acrylic, enamel and oil-based products as well as decal solutions.

These paints are non-toxic, odourless and environmentally friendly.

They perform very well when applied by brush, offering high control and even coverage. They are also suitable for airbrush use, especially when working in enclosed spaces where strong odours are undesirable. ATOM paints are intended for plastic models and figures, but can also be used on materials such as resin, wood and cardboard.

The paints come in modern 20 ml transparent bottles with a convenient dropper cap that allows one-hand opening and precise dispensing.

For airbrush use, the paints should be thinned with dedicated Ammo products: ATOM Thinner and Cleaner (ATOM-20500 / 20510 / 20520) or ATOM Thinner and Cleaner with Retarder (ATOM-20501 / 20511 / 20521), which improve flow, control and drying time.
