Description

Ammo Mig 20741 – Atom Acrylic Paint Set WWII Soviet Vehicles Camouflage Colors

  • acrylic paints for brush and airbrush
  • 4 colors in 20 ml bottles
  • water-based, fast-drying formula
  • manufacturer code: A.MIG-20741

The set includes 4 paints in the following colors:

  • ATOM-20011 Sand Grey
  • ATOM-20063 Black Brown
  • ATOM-20071 Russian Green 4BO
  • ATOM-20163 Matt Black

This set has been designed to provide modelers with the essential colors for reproducing WWII Soviet multicolor summer camouflage schemes. Soviet armored vehicles such as the KV and T-34 were initially painted in plain 4BO Green, but regulations later introduced two- and three-tone camouflage patterns combining green, sand, and brown tones, sometimes with black details. These schemes were more common in defensive positions, such as the Leningrad area, and in self-propelled artillery units that relied on ambush tactics.

The set allows accurate painting of early-war vehicles finished in solid green as well as late 1941 three-tone camouflage patterns. By mid-1943, camouflage use decreased as the Red Army shifted to large-scale offensive operations, but multicolor finishes remain one of the most distinctive and historically interesting options for Soviet vehicles.

ATOM paints are water-based paints optimized for maximum performance when using both brush and airbrush.

These paints feature self-leveling properties, quick drying, and strong coverage. They are extremely durable, allowing application of acrylic and oil weathering products as well as decal solutions without damaging the finish. Each paint is supplied in a new transparent 20 ml bottle with a redesigned cap for easy one-handed use.

These paints are non-toxic and odorless.

They perform exceptionally well when brush painting and are also suitable for airbrushing, especially when avoiding solvent-based paints. While intended for scale models and miniatures, Atom paints can also be used on paper, wood, resin models, and even general hobby projects.

For airbrush use, paints must be thinned! We recommend Ammo Mig 2000 Acrylic Thinner, though other standard acrylic thinners may also be used.
