SPACE 3D decals – three-dimensional interior detail without painting

SPACE are self-adhesive 3D decals printed on a clear carrier that create raised, multi-coloured detail. They reproduce instrument panels, side consoles and seatbelts – all as 3D decals, without separate photo-etched parts.

The decals are applied like ordinary waterslide decals onto a prepared, smooth surface. It is a convenient way to achieve a rich, colourful interior without painting fine details.

About the aircraft – Heinkel He 162A:

The Heinkel He 162 Volksjäger ('People's Fighter') is a German lightweight jet fighter from the end of World War II, designed at breakneck speed under a programme for a cheap defensive aircraft. Its single jet engine was mounted unusually on top of the fuselage, above the wing.

The largely wooden construction was intended to enable mass production despite shortages of metals and skilled labour. The He 162 entered service in the final weeks of the war and had virtually no chance to play a significant combat role.

Original specifications (Heinkel He 162A):

  • Length: approx. 9.05 m
  • Wingspan: approx. 7.2 m
  • Powerplant: BMW 003 turbojet, approx. 800 kgf thrust
  • Maximum speed: approx. 790 km/h
  • Armament: 2 x MG 151/20 20 mm cannons
  • Crew: 1
