  • Mask placement instructions

  • Dedicated kit: Mirage 2000B/D/N from Kinetic / Italeri
  • Accessory type: canopy painting masks

Self-adhesive painting masks – crisp canopy frame edges

Eduard masks are self-adhesive stencils die-cut from low-tack yellow Kabuki masking paper suited to delicate model surfaces. They cover the clear areas of the glazing and leave only the canopy framing exposed, so that after airbrushing you get sharp, even frame edges – hard to achieve when masking by hand with tape.

The recommended method is to apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing, press the edges down firmly and then airbrush the paint. Once the paint has dried, the masks are removed. The masks are intended for single use and should not be left on the model for a long time.

About the aircraft – Dassault Mirage 2000 (Mirage 2000C):

The Mirage 2000 is a French single-engine fourth-generation fighter with a characteristic delta wing, developed by Dassault Aviation from the late 1970s as a lightweight air-superiority fighter for the French air force. It uses fly-by-wire controls and deliberate aerodynamic instability to improve agility. First flown in 1978, it entered service in 1984. The 2000C variant is the basic interceptor-fighter version.

The 1990s Mirage 2000-5 was a major upgrade with the RDY radar, the ability to engage multiple targets simultaneously with MICA missiles, and an improved cockpit. The Mirage 2000 was exported to India, Egypt, Greece, Taiwan and the United Arab Emirates among others, and used in combat in the Gulf War, Kosovo and Libya. Around 600 examples were produced between approximately 1982 and 2007.
