Eduard JX025 is a set of self-adhesive 1:32 masks for painting the canopy framing and other glazing, and the wheel hubs, tailored to the Hunter FGA.9/Mk.58 model from Revell. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The base kit is not included.

Self-adhesive painting masks – crisp canopy frame edges

Eduard masks are self-adhesive stencils die-cut from low-tack yellow Kabuki masking paper suited to delicate model surfaces. They cover the clear areas of the glazing and leave only the canopy framing exposed, so that after airbrushing you get sharp, even frame edges – hard to achieve when masking by hand with tape.

The recommended method is to apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing, press the edges down firmly and then airbrush the paint. Once the paint has dried, the masks are removed. The masks are intended for single use and should not be left on the model for a long time.

About the aircraft – Hawker Hunter FGA.9/F Mk.6:

The Hawker Hunter was a British single-seat jet fighter of the 1950s, with a swept wing and a streamlined fuselage. It was powered by a Rolls-Royce Avon turbojet. Its fixed armament comprised four 30 mm Aden cannon housed in a removable pack under the forward fuselage, which made rapid replacement and re-arming easier. The prototype flew in the early 1950s.

The Hunter entered RAF service in 1954, initially as an interceptor in versions such as the F Mk.6, and later as the FGA.9 fighter-ground-attack aircraft for ground support, carrying external stores. It became a major export success and served with many nations for decades. Training and reconnaissance variants were also produced.
