Eduard JX205 is a set of self-adhesive 1:32 masks for painting the canopy framing and other glazing, and the wheel hubs, tailored to the Fokker D.VII model from Wingnut Wings. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The base kit is not included.

Self-adhesive painting masks – crisp canopy frame edges

Eduard masks are self-adhesive stencils die-cut from low-tack yellow Kabuki masking paper suited to delicate model surfaces. They cover the clear areas of the glazing and leave only the canopy framing exposed, so that after airbrushing you get sharp, even frame edges – hard to achieve when masking by hand with tape.

The recommended method is to apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing, press the edges down firmly and then airbrush the paint. Once the paint has dried, the masks are removed. The masks are intended for single use and should not be left on the model for a long time.

About the aircraft – Fokker D.VIIF:

The Fokker D.VII was a German biplane fighter from the end of the First World War, designed by Reinhold Platz's team. Its construction used a welded steel-tube frame covered with fabric and a thick wing section that gave good low-speed handling and a steep climb. The aircraft won the fighter competition at Adlershof in early 1918 and quickly entered production.

The D.VII entered service in the spring of 1918 and was regarded as one of the more highly rated fighters of the war, even being named specifically in the Armistice terms. The D.VIIF variant received the more powerful BMW IIIa engine, improving high-altitude performance. It was built by Fokker, Albatros and others, and served with several nations after the war.
