Eduard JX206 mask set – canopy painting masks for the Fw 190A-8 model (Revell) in 1:32 scale

Eduard JX206 is a set of self-adhesive 1:32 masks for painting the canopy framing and other glazing, and the wheel hubs, tailored to the Fw 190A-8 model from Revell. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The base kit is not included.

Self-adhesive painting masks – crisp canopy frame edges

Eduard masks are self-adhesive stencils die-cut from low-tack yellow Kabuki masking paper suited to delicate model surfaces. They cover the clear areas of the glazing and leave only the canopy framing exposed, so that after airbrushing you get sharp, even frame edges – hard to achieve when masking by hand with tape.

The recommended method is to apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing, press the edges down firmly and then airbrush the paint. Once the paint has dried, the masks are removed. The masks are intended for single use and should not be left on the model for a long time.

About the aircraft – Focke-Wulf Fw 190A/F:

The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was a German single-seat fighter monoplane of the Second World War, designed by Kurt Tank. Unlike the inline-engined Messerschmitt Bf 109, it used an air-cooled BMW 801 radial engine, a wide-track main undercarriage and heavy armament. The design was easy to maintain and fly and tolerant of battle damage. The prototype flew in 1939 and series production began soon after.

The A series was the main fighter version, while the F variant was developed as a ground-attack aircraft for close support of ground forces, with armour and external ordnance. The Fw 190A/F served on all European fronts and in the defence of the Reich. Together with the Bf 109 family it formed the core of German fighter aviation. Many sub-variants differed in armament and equipment.
