Eduard JX288 mask set – canopy painting masks for the B-25H Mitchell model (HK Models) in 1:32 scale

Eduard JX288 is a set of self-adhesive 1:32 masks for painting the canopy framing and other glazing, and the wheel hubs, tailored to the B-25H Mitchell model from HK Models. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The base kit is not included. The TFace version includes masks for both the exterior and interior of the glazing.

Self-adhesive painting masks – crisp canopy frame edges

Eduard masks are self-adhesive stencils die-cut from low-tack yellow Kabuki masking paper suited to delicate model surfaces. They cover the clear areas of the glazing and leave only the canopy framing exposed, so that after airbrushing you get sharp, even frame edges – hard to achieve when masking by hand with tape.

The recommended method is to apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing, press the edges down firmly and then airbrush the paint. Once the paint has dried, the masks are removed. The masks are intended for single use and should not be left on the model for a long time.

About the aircraft – North American B-25 Mitchell:

The North American B-25 Mitchell is an American twin-engined medium bomber of the Second World War, with a distinctive twin vertical tail and a gulled wing. It was an all-metal high-wing monoplane with tricycle landing gear and a crew of five, powered by two radial engines. The aircraft was noted for its good handling and versatility.

The B-25 became famous for the Doolittle Raid on Tokyo in 1942, flown from an aircraft carrier. It was used on all theatres of the war for low- and medium-altitude bombing and for strafing attacks. Successive B, G and J versions differed mainly in armament: the G models received a 75 mm cannon in the nose, and the J came in glazed-nose and solid-nose versions, the latter with a battery of machine guns. Nearly 10,000 examples were built.
