Ultra 2024 is a new incarnation of a basic airbrush model in H&S offer. Designed with beginner airbrush users in mind, who are learning how to use this tool correctly it offers comfortable and troubleless work and an ease of maintenance. Well thought out design helps in creating proper habits while using this airbrusg. It's a double action gravity fed airbrush with a 0,45mm nozzle, large 5ml paint cup and a special collar for quick setting of paint dosage.

Large threadless 0,45mm nozzle makes it easier to work with popular waterbased acrylic paints without sacrificing precision for painting details. Its size gives beginner users more room for error while thinning their paints - it won't clog or block even with a slightly thicker acrylics. Push-in design makes it fast and safe to disassembly, clean and swap the nozzle without risk of damaging any parts. Nozzle is simply put into the air cap and then finger tight screwed to the body of the airbrush. No tools neccessary. Airbrush is fitted with PTFE nozzle and needle seals, which are resistant to all modelling thinners and cleaners.

Special collar allows regulation of paint volume that is coming out of the airbrush and features clear descriptions of settings for priming, laying base colours and creating each of three highlighting steps (Prime/Base/I/II/III highlight). Thanks to this you can easily change or return to previous setting which makes working faster and more efficient - especially while painting tabletop miniatures. Air cap head is a single piece so the needle tip is always protected and it features specially milled holes that allow visual control of the needle tip and wping the dried paint if neccessary (using a brush).

Airbrush's trigger features a guiding rail that allows paint flow (pulling the trigger back) only when the air if flowing i.e. the trigger is pressed down. This on one hand will teach the proper trigger reflexes of a double action airbrush and, on the other, eliminate any blothes on our model.
Precisely designed and machined needle guide and trigger mechanizm with low tolerances gives more precision when painting. Additional trigger spring tension regulation offers adjusting the trigger response and stiffness precisely to your preferences.

5ml paint cup has a wider plug (compared to previous Ultra model) which makes it more stable and secure, while the inside is shaped so it can be easily cleaned. Removing the paint cup creates a micro cup - perfect if we want to deposit only small amount of paint for touching up or creating fine highlights.

Ultra 2024 airbrush is fully chrome plated which virtually eliminates any risk of allergic skin reactions while handling it and also makes the airbrush resistant to any type of thinner used in model making.

Airbrush is compatible with other Harder & Steenbeck nozzle & needle conversion sets and also with selected accessories.

PLEASE NOTE! Ultra 2024 airbrush is NOT COMPATIBLE with 2ml and 5ml paint cups and any other airbrush parts from previous version of Ultra.

What do you need an airbrush for?

Airbrush is a miniature spray pistol for precise painting, It sprays a paint over a given surface using a compressed air. As such an airbrush woll not work on its own - it needs to be connected to a compressed air source. Most widely used are miniature compressors that either supply the air straight to the airbrush or fill the air tank coupled with the compressor which is then supplied to the airbrush. Another way is to use expendable cans of pressurized air, though it is now a solution less convenient, more expensive and giving an overall worse result, thus - not recommended. Airbrushes are a great tools for painting model kits, graphics, hobby, nail art and even confectionery.

Harder and Steenbeck (from the founders' names August Harder and Wilhelm Steenbeck) is a renowned German manufacturer of airbrushes and airbrush accessories.

They have existed for almost 100 years now and started as a manufacturer of small electronic components for radio receivers then produced some school aid equipment and small mechanical elements for cars. In the 1950's they began manufacturing their first airbrushes mainly for professional industrial use. In the middle of 1990's they entered the consumer market with Grafo and Colani airbrush models. They really gained their reputation and wide acclaim at the end of that decade with the introduction of the Evolution model followed a few years later by Ultra and Infinity models.
