1:48 scale plastic model kit of the Thunderbolt Mk.I Royal Air Force

The Thunderbolt Mk.I was the British designation for the American-built Republic P-47 Thunderbolt supplied under the Lend-Lease programme. These aircraft served with the Royal Air Force primarily as fighter-bombers and ground-attack aircraft. MiniArt kit 48033 in 1:48 scale captures the massive and powerful appearance of this iconic radial-engined fighter.

The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was one of the heaviest and most rugged fighters of World War II. Powered by the Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp engine, it achieved high speeds and excellent high-altitude performance. Aircraft delivered to Britain were designated Thunderbolt Mk.I and were mainly used for ground attack and bomber escort missions. Its robust construction and heavy armament made it a formidable combat aircraft.
