Mr.Hobby Enhanced Weathering Color (EWC) is an improved line of oil-based paints developed for realistic weathering effects. The Grayish Brown shade is ideal for creating subtle discolorations, shading, and dirt effects in a gray-brown tone, perfect for enhancing details and adding a natural, worn appearance to models.

About the Mr.Hobby Enhanced Weathering Color series:

The Mr.Hobby Weathering Color range offers high-quality oil-based paints for weathering techniques such as washes, panel lining, streaking, rust, dust, and filters. The smooth consistency ensures easy application, while the oil base allows precise shading and effortless blending. The oil base also makes it possible to easily adjust or remove the effect. Compatible with Mr. Color, Aqueous Hobby Color, Acrysion, and bare plastic (should not be mixed with water-based weathering products). The dedicated Weathering Color Thinner (WCT201) is recommended, but other enamel thinners can also be used. The new EWC series features improved caps with safety locks and a stainless steel mixing ball inside the bottle.

Washes are one of the most fundamental finishing techniques, adding realism and visual depth.

Oil-based washes can be corrected or removed using white spirit or enamel thinner without damaging the underlying surface. For best results, apply over a glossy acrylic clear coat to improve flow and make cleanup easier. The Grayish Brown shade works especially well for giving models a subtle, lightly weathered look.
