This analog model is ideal for use on traditional layouts. Thanks to the integrated decoder interface, it can be easily upgraded for digital operation, enabling independent locomotive control and full use of lighting and sound functions.

About the SM31 locomotive:

The SM31 is the heaviest diesel shunting locomotive type ever used in Poland, manufactured in the 1970s by H. Cegielski in Poznań. Featuring a Co’Co’ axle arrangement and high tractive power, it was perfectly suited for handling heavy freight trains and performing demanding shunting tasks at large yards and industrial sidings.

During Era V, SM31 units were widely used in the Silesian region and other major freight hubs, where their reliability and power made them essential. Their distinctive silhouette with a central cab and rugged body made them true workhorses of the PKP fleet.
