About the BR 221 locomotive:

The BR 221 locomotives (formerly V200.1) were an improved development of the earlier V200 series and became one of the most iconic diesel locomotive types of post-war Germany. They were designed for hauling heavier passenger and freight trains on non-electrified routes.
