This premium 1:32 scale model kit from Special Hobby features the rare Westland Whirlwind FB Mk.I – a twin-engine fighter-bomber used by the RAF during the early stages of World War II. The Hi-Tech edition includes photo-etched and resin parts that greatly enhance cockpit and airframe detail, making it ideal for experienced modelers looking for authenticity and precision.

About the Westland Whirlwind:
The Westland Whirlwind was one of the RAF’s first twin-engine fighters and boasted four 20 mm Hispano cannons – an unprecedented firepower for its time. Powered by two Rolls-Royce Peregrine engines, it offered excellent speed and agility. Despite limited production and logistical issues with engine supply, it served effectively as a fighter-bomber and ground-attack aircraft during 1940–1943.
