The Takom 5024X kit represents a complete U.S. Army heavy transport set consisting of the M911 C-HET tractor unit, M747 semi-trailer and the M60A1 main battle tank fitted with explosive reactive armor. This compact 1:72 scale model combines excellent detailing with accurate proportions, recreating one of the most recognizable U.S. military transport combinations of the late Cold War era.

About the M911 C-HET and M60A1:

The M911 C-HET (Commercial Heavy Equipment Transporter) was a heavy-duty tractor produced by Oshkosh Truck Corporation for hauling tanks and armored vehicles. Coupled with the M747 trailer, it could carry loads of up to 60 tons, including the M60A1 and early M1 Abrams tanks. The M60A1 with ERA (Explosive Reactive Armor) was a modernized version of the American main battle tank equipped with additional protection against shaped-charge projectiles. This combination was widely used during U.S. Army exercises and operations in Europe and the Middle East throughout the 1980s.
