Tamiya 35207 depicts Soviet assault infantry of the Second World War. Building the model:

The dynamic poses are worth dry-fitting to the tank model or groundwork first. The figures are painted in layers, with the uniform folds and gear detail emphasised by a wash and dry-brushing.

Tools you'll need:

• Modelling nippers for removing parts from the sprues
• Hobby knife or scalpel
• Files and sandpaper for cleaning up sprue-gate marks
• Modelling putty to hide the parting lines between parts
• Plastic cement (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement)
• Fine brushes and modelling paints (acrylic or enamel) for faces, uniforms and gear
• Panel-line wash to emphasise folds and detail, plus dry-brushing
