Assembly:

This kit features a very high level of detail with a large number of parts, including photo-etched and 3D printed components. The inclusion of ropes, chains and a vacuum formed canvas allows for an extremely realistic final result. The complexity of the build makes it best suited for experienced modellers.

About the Ward LaFrance M1A1:

The Ward LaFrance M1 series was one of the primary heavy recovery vehicles used by the US Army during World War II. Produced from 1941 to 1945, it was manufactured in several variants known as Series 1 through 5. The M1A1 Series 5, introduced in 1943, was one of the most widely produced versions, with around 3500 units built.

This version featured a fully powered crane, redesigned front end and a military-style cab with a canvas top and folding windshield. These vehicles played a vital role in recovering damaged equipment and maintaining operational capability of mechanized units.
