About USS Missouri (BB-63):

USS Missouri was the fourth Iowa-class battleship and one of the most famous US Navy warships. Commissioned in 1944, she served in the Pacific during WWII, including major operations. On 2 September 1945, the Japanese Instrument of Surrender was signed on her deck, formally ending WWII. Missouri also saw action in the Korean War and, after modernization, in the Gulf War. Today she is preserved as a museum ship at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
