About USS Cleveland:

USS Cleveland (CL-55) was the lead ship of her class of US Navy light cruisers. Launched in 1941 and commissioned in 1942, she took part in numerous operations in the Pacific Theater during WWII, including the battles for the Solomon Islands and Guam. Armed with twelve 6-inch (152 mm) guns in four triple turrets and strong AA defenses, Cleveland was a formidable warship against both surface and air threats. She was decommissioned in 1947 after the war.
