Turned metal barrels – a quick model upgrade

Replacing the plastic barrels from the base kit with turned metal barrels is one of the simplest ways to raise the realism of a ship model. Metal barrels have even walls, crisp muzzles and correct proportions that are hard to achieve with injection-moulded parts. For assembly we suggest using cyanoacrylate glue, which provides a durable bond between metal and plastic.

USS Arizona was an American battleship of the Pennsylvania type. The main armament consisted of twelve 356 mm (14 in) guns arranged in four triple turrets.

Arizona gained tragic fame during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941, where she was sunk. The wreck of the ship is today a national memorial.
