Description
Snap-fit model kit of the Assault Galient mecha (Heavy Armor Kai) in 1:72 scale
Academy 15819 depicts the Assault Galient in its Heavy Armor Kai configuration - the heavily armoured machine from the Japanese animated series "Panzer World Galient". The model stands approx. 190 mm tall when built and is made up of parts moulded in multiple colours that snap together, so cement and painting are not required and the colourful silhouette appears during assembly itself.
The kit includes the machine's full armament: an aerial cannon, a heavy armour cannon and a shield. The supplied parts let you display the model in the two modes seen in the series - Flying Armor and Self-Propelled Armor. The tooling was created by Academy in cooperation with the Japanese company Wave.

Building the model:
The snap-fit engineering and factory-coloured parts make this kit approachable even for newcomers to the hobby. Parts simply need to be cut from the sprues with side cutters and cleaned up along the gate marks - everything else clicks together without cement. It is worth taking care when removing the parts, as gate marks tend to be visible on multi-coloured mouldings.
Modellers who want to take things further can paint the kit with modelling paints and bring out the armour panel lines with a wash, which adds noticeable depth to a mecha with such a complex shape. Colours close to the scheme seen in the series work well, and the illustrated instructions include a painting guide. It is worth deciding on the display mode - Flying Armor or Self-Propelled Armor - before assembly, as it affects how the model is posed.
Tools you will need:
- Modelling side cutters for removing parts from the sprues
- Hobby knife or scalpel
- Files and sanding paper for cleaning up gate marks
- Optional: plastic cement for permanently joining selected parts
- Optional: modelling paints and brushes in various sizes
- Optional: a wash to accentuate details and armour panel lines
About the machine - Assault Galient:
The Assault Galient is a development of the series' title machine - the Heavy Armor Kai variant, which debuted in episode 10 of "Panzer World Galient". Reinforced armour and heavier weaponry set it apart from the basic version, while its distinctive knightly silhouette remains instantly recognisable.
In the world of the series, machines of this type, known as Panzer Frames, serve as knightly steeds - combining the look of medieval armour with advanced technology. The Assault Galient appears in two modes: Flying Armor, used for airborne movement, and Self-Propelled Armor, its ground configuration. The Academy kit lets you recreate both.
