Eduard EX007 is a set of self-adhesive 1:48 masks for painting the canopy framing and other glazing, and the wheel hubs, tailored to the MiG-29 Fulcrum model from Academy. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The base kit is not included.

Self-adhesive painting masks – crisp canopy frame edges

Eduard masks are self-adhesive stencils die-cut from low-tack yellow Kabuki masking paper suited to delicate model surfaces. They cover the clear areas of the glazing and leave only the canopy framing exposed, so that after airbrushing you get sharp, even frame edges – hard to achieve when masking by hand with tape.

The recommended method is to apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing, press the edges down firmly and then airbrush the paint. Once the paint has dried, the masks are removed. The masks are intended for single use and should not be left on the model for a long time.

About the aircraft – MiG-29 Fulcrum:

The MiG-29 (NATO code name Fulcrum) is a Soviet single-seat air-superiority fighter, first flown in 1977. It was designed as a light, agile frontline aircraft complementing the heavier Su-27. It features a blended wing-body layout with large leading-edge root extensions, two afterburning turbofan engines and widely spaced air intakes. The design emphasized maneuverability and the ability to operate from austere airfields.

The MiG-29 entered service in the mid-1980s and was operated by the USSR and numerous nations, including Poland. Armed with a cannon and short- and medium-range air-to-air missiles, it was optimized mainly for air combat. Many development and export versions were produced, differing in avionics, fuel capacity and armament. The aircraft remains in service in upgraded forms.
