Eduard EX365 is a set of self-adhesive 1:48 masks for painting the canopy framing and other glazing, and the wheel hubs, tailored to the An-2 model from Hobby Boss. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The base kit is not included.

Self-adhesive painting masks – crisp canopy frame edges

Eduard masks are self-adhesive stencils die-cut from low-tack yellow Kabuki masking paper suited to delicate model surfaces. They cover the clear areas of the glazing and leave only the canopy framing exposed, so that after airbrushing you get sharp, even frame edges – hard to achieve when masking by hand with tape.

The recommended method is to apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing, press the edges down firmly and then airbrush the paint. Once the paint has dried, the masks are removed. The masks are intended for single use and should not be left on the model for a long time.

About the aircraft – Antonov An-2:

The Antonov An-2 is a single-engine multipurpose biplane designed by Oleg Antonov's bureau and first flown in 1947. It was created as an agricultural and transport aircraft able to operate from short, unpaved strips. The biplane layout with automatic leading-edge slats gives very low minimum speeds and excellent short takeoff and landing qualities. It is powered by a radial piston engine, and the structure combines a metal frame with partially fabric-covered surfaces.

The An-2 was produced for decades in the USSR, Poland (WSK Mielec) and China, making it one of the longest-produced aircraft in the world. It served in agricultural, medical, transport, paratroop and skydiving roles. Numerous variants appeared, including the An-2R agricultural version, transport variants and floatplane versions. Its simple, rugged design has kept many examples in use to this day.
