Self-adhesive painting masks – crisp canopy frame edges
Eduard masks are self-adhesive stencils die-cut from low-tack yellow Kabuki masking paper suited to delicate model surfaces. They cover the clear areas of the glazing and leave only the canopy framing exposed, so that after airbrushing you get sharp, even frame edges – hard to achieve when masking by hand with tape.
The recommended method is to apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing, press the edges down firmly and then airbrush the paint. Once the paint has dried, the masks are removed. The masks are intended for single use and should not be left on the model for a long time.
About the aircraft – Sopwith 5F.1 Dolphin:
The Sopwith 5F.1 Dolphin was a British single-seat fighter of the First World War. It was a biplane with negative wing stagger, in which the upper wing sat at the level of the pilot's head, giving very good forward and upward visibility. Power came from a Hispano-Suiza 8B inline engine. The aircraft entered Royal Flying Corps service early in 1918. Radiators were fitted on the sides of the fuselage, and the high-set upper wing aided observation.
The aircraft was intended for air combat at medium altitude, where it served well as a gun platform. Standard armament was two synchronised Vickers guns, often supplemented by movable Lewis guns. Cooling and engine-reliability problems initially limited use of the type. About 2,070 were built between 1917 and 1919, and Dolphins also served after the end of the war. Some machines were additionally fitted with upward-firing guns for engaging enemy aircraft from below.

- Wingspan: 9.91 m
- Height: 2.59 m
