Eduard JX303 is a set of self-adhesive 1:32 masks for painting the canopy framing and other glazing, and the wheel hubs, tailored to the Tornado IDS model from Italeri. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The base kit is not included.

Self-adhesive painting masks – crisp canopy frame edges

Eduard masks are self-adhesive stencils die-cut from low-tack yellow Kabuki masking paper suited to delicate model surfaces. They cover the clear areas of the glazing and leave only the canopy framing exposed, so that after airbrushing you get sharp, even frame edges – hard to achieve when masking by hand with tape.

The recommended method is to apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing, press the edges down firmly and then airbrush the paint. Once the paint has dried, the masks are removed. The masks are intended for single use and should not be left on the model for a long time.

About the aircraft – Panavia Tornado (IDS/GR.4/F.3 ADV):

The Panavia Tornado is a two-seat, twin-engine variable-geometry combat aircraft built jointly by Britain, Germany and Italy. It first flew in 1974 and entered service in the early 1980s. It was produced in a family of versions: the IDS strike variant (British GR.1/GR.4) and the ADV interceptor (RAF F.3).

The design is a high-wing aircraft with a variable-sweep wing enabling high-speed low-level flight. The IDS versions were intended for ground attack, while the considerably lengthened F.3 ADV served as a long-range interceptor. Nearly 990 of all versions were built, and the aircraft remained in service with several nations for over four decades.
