Eduard JX325 mask set – canopy painting masks for the A-20J/K Havoc model (HK Models) in 1:32 scale

Eduard JX325 is a set of self-adhesive 1:32 masks for painting the canopy framing and other glazing, and the wheel hubs, tailored to the A-20J/K Havoc model from HK Models. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The base kit is not included. The TFace version includes masks for both the exterior and interior of the glazing.

Self-adhesive painting masks – crisp canopy frame edges

Eduard masks are self-adhesive stencils die-cut from low-tack yellow Kabuki masking paper suited to delicate model surfaces. They cover the clear areas of the glazing and leave only the canopy framing exposed, so that after airbrushing you get sharp, even frame edges – hard to achieve when masking by hand with tape.

The recommended method is to apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing, press the edges down firmly and then airbrush the paint. Once the paint has dried, the masks are removed. The masks are intended for single use and should not be left on the model for a long time.

About the aircraft – A-20G Havoc:

The Douglas A-20 Havoc is a twin-engine, medium-performance aircraft used as a light bomber and attack aircraft. Designed in the late 1930s, it was notable for its retractable tricycle landing gear with a nose wheel, uncommon at the time. It was powered by two Wright R-2600 radial engines. The A-20G, the most numerous variant, received a solid, unglazed forward fuselage with heavy forward-firing gun armament instead of the glazed bombardier position.

The A-20 served with American, British (as the Boston and Havoc) and Soviet forces, the latter receiving thousands of aircraft under Lend-Lease. It was used for low-level attack, bombing and escort duties. The G variant carried four 20 mm cannon or six 12.7 mm machine guns in the nose plus defensive armament. About 7,000 aircraft of all versions were built.
