Eduard XT071 is a set of self-adhesive 1:35 masks for masking the rubber tyres of the road wheels during painting, tailored to the Pz.IV Ausf.H/J model from Tamiya. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The kit is not included.

Road wheel masks – even edges on the rubber tyres

This set contains self-adhesive masks shaped to the model road wheels, letting you paint the rubber tyres separately from the hubs. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving a sharp, even boundary between the metal hub and the rubber without freehand painting.

The masks are applied to the wheels, the tyre or hub colour is airbrushed, and the masks are removed once dry. The set greatly speeds up one of the more tedious steps in painting a vehicle.

About the vehicle – PzKpfw IV Ausf.H:

The Panzerkampfwagen IV was a German medium tank produced throughout the war and forming the backbone of the German armoured force. The 1943 Ausf. H version was one of the most numerous. It received the long-barrelled 75 mm KwK 40 L/48 gun capable of engaging enemy tanks, and reinforced hull front armour up to 80 mm. Side armour skirts (Schürzen) protecting the hull sides and turret became standard equipment.

The PzKpfw IV Ausf. H fought on the Eastern Front, in Italy and Western Europe, serving as a general-purpose line tank. Its proven and relatively simple design eased production and maintenance, and its modular layout allowed many derivative vehicles, including tank destroyers and self-propelled guns. The later Ausf. J simplified the design at the cost of some equipment. In total about 8,500 PzKpfw IV of all versions were built.
