Eduard XT094 is a set of self-adhesive 1:35 masks to make painting the model easier, tailored to the Faun SLT 56 model from Trumpeter. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The kit is not included.

Painting masks for the model – faster, more accurate painting

This set contains self-adhesive masks shaped to the model, making it easier to paint selected areas – depending on the set these may be the road wheels, glazing or other details. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp, even edges without hand masking with tape.

The masks are applied to the model before spraying and removed once the paint has dried. The set speeds up painting and improves its precision.

About the vehicle – Faun SLT 56:

The Faun SLT 56, named Elefant, is a German heavy tractor unit intended for tank transport, introduced into Bundeswehr service from the mid-1970s. It was designed as an 8x8 all-wheel-drive vehicle adapted to tow a low-loader semi-trailer carrying a Leopard-class main battle tank. Power is provided by a large multi-cylinder diesel engine working with an automatic transmission, and the forward cab houses the driver and additional transport crew.

Together with its heavy semi-trailer, the SLT 56 formed a transport combination able to carry tanks and other heavy armoured equipment by road, sparing their running gear and fuel. The vehicle was used by German logistic units and exported to other Leopard operators. Because of the combination's high gross weight and dimensions, it was operated mainly on hard-surfaced roads. It was succeeded in the Bundeswehr by a later, modernised generation of SLT tractors.
