Hataka Orange Line lacquers are a high quality acrylic lacquer paints for airbrush painting.

Hataka Orange Line features a very wide colour palette for modellers. They have been carefully chosen to faithfully represent the original colours and their composition offers high mechanical resistance with high adhesion to the painted surface at the same time reducing the unpleasant smell significantly in comparison to other solvent based paints. Orange Line paints could be thinned before painting - Hataka recommends a thinner to paint ratio between 2:3 up to 3:2 - depending on the airbrush nozzle size and the effect you want to achieve. Paint consistency allows for an easy application of semi transparent layers of colour and building the desired colour this way. Best results are obtained with the dedicated XP03Superfine pigment reduces nozzle clogging and drying the paint on the needle. Stainless steel stirring ball included in the paints allows for an easy and even mixing og the paint.

Hataka Orange Line paints are suitable for painitng plastic model kits, but can also be used for painting wooden and resin model kits. They can also be used in other craft projects, not neccessarily model making.

For thinning we recommend the dedicated Hataka XP03 thinner.

Hataka is a Polish manufacturer of high quality modelling paints and a wide range of colours.

Their offer consists of three lines of paints:

  • Blue Line are water soluble acrylic paints that are optimized for painting using a paintbrush. They are sold in 10 and 17ml bottles
  • Red Line are also water soluble acrylic paints but optimized for spraying using an airbrush. For best results we recommend thinning them with a dedicated thinner rather than water. They are packed in 17 ml bottles
  • final type are the Orange Line paints - lacquer type, based on organic solvents therefore water cannot thin them. They can be thinned with a dedicated Hataka thinner or other lacquer thinner (e.g. Mr Hobby Levelling Thinner). Those paints can be easily used in an airbrush and cannot be painted with a brush. They come in 17 ml bottles.

Hataka has a very wide range of colours that consider the modellers’ needs, which makes it easy to choose proper colour for a particular AFV or an aircraft from virtually any time period. Their offer is complemented by a wide selection of paint sets that are focused on particular subjects like e.g. German tanks of early WWII or Swedish Air Force. Those paint sets are also divided by paint types (blue, red and orange).
