About the PaK 97/38:

The 7.5 cm PaK 97/38 was developed in 1942 to fill the gap in German anti-tank defenses. It combined captured French 75 mm field gun barrels with German PaK 38 carriages. Although limited in effectiveness against heavy tanks, it was capable of dealing with medium armor and served extensively on the Eastern Front, in North Africa and Italy until 1945.
