Mr.Hobby XC01 Mr.Crystal Diamond Silver Pearl Paint – brilliant finish for model making

Mr.Hobby XC01 Diamond Silver is a high-quality pearl paint that gives surfaces an exceptional shine and depth of color. Its appearance changes depending on the base color and the angle of light, allowing for a variety of decorative and realistic effects. It works perfectly for vehicle models, figures, mechanical objects, and automotive kits.

On white or light-colored bases, it produces a subtle pearl effect – it may appear colorless overall, but lighted areas reveal the pearl hue. On black or dark-colored bases, the pearl effect takes on a metallic tone, ideal for car models and mecha kits. Due to the large pearl particle size, the paint produces a matte finish. For a more beautiful, jewel-like shine, apply a glossy clear coat after drying.

This paint is recommended for airbrush use. It is a “2-coat” paint – it requires application over a prepared base color.

Mr.Hobby C series paints are premium-quality acrylic paints based on organic solvents, offering perfect color accuracy, excellent durability, and a wide color range.

They are known for their strong smell due to the solvents used, sometimes mistakenly referred to as “lacquer” paints. Unlike typical acrylic or vinyl paints, they do not clog airbrushes and are easy to clean from tools. Properly thinned, they are among the best paints for airbrushing. The full range includes over 220 aviation, armor, naval, and automotive colors, with authentic shades and finishes – matte, semi-gloss, or gloss.

Brush painting - according to the manufacrurer - is possible, but our experience shows that it's very difficult and gives poor results. We don't recommend those paints for paintbrushing. If you don'r own an airbrush, we suggest that you use AK Interactive 3 Gen acrylics, Vallejo Model Color or Hataka from B(lue) line acrylic paints.

Shake and thin the paint thoroughly before use. Use Mr.Color Thinner or Mr.Color Leveling Thinner. The latter improves application and finish. Recommended ratio: 1–1.5 parts paint to 3 parts thinner.

Mr.Color paints are stable and can be stored for a long time in tightly closed containers. If they become too thick, Mr.Color Replenishing Agent will restore the proper consistency.

They are fast-drying, but depending on the thinner used and coat thickness, full curing may take up to 24 hours.

Suitable for plastic, metal, and resin models. Can be applied directly, but priming is recommended for best adhesion.
