Building the model:

This small model is aimed at modellers with some experience — the parts require careful clean-up of sprue-gate marks and test-fitting. The small details are best fitted last.

Soviet vehicles of this period were usually painted in a uniform protective green. Details are best emphasised with a wash, and the whole sealed with a matt varnish.

The design was built in a small series and represented an intermediate stage in the development of Soviet amphibious tanks, preceding the later, more numerously produced vehicles of this class.
