Description

Resin model of the Italian Autoblinda Lince armoured car in 1:100 scale

Zebrano Z100-336 is a model of the Italian Autoblinda Lince light scout car in 1:100 scale. This kit from the wargaming series reproduces a small, agile World War II armoured car.

The model is produced as a resin casting, typical of the Zebrano 1:100 series intended for wargaming and small dioramas. The kit does not include decals — the painting is left to the modeller.

What's in the box:

  • Resin armoured-car parts
  • Instructions / set card

Model specifications:

  • Scale: 1:100
  • Catalogue number: Z100-336
  • Manufacturer: Zebrano
  • Assembled length: approx. 32 mm
  • Difficulty level: beginner/intermediate

Note: This kit does not include glue, paint or modelling tools. The model is intended for self-assembly.

Building the model:

This very small resin model consists of a limited number of parts. Because of the small part size, care should be taken when cleaning up and gluing with cyanoacrylate. It is worth washing the parts before painting.

Italian vehicles of this period were usually painted in sand or olive colours, sometimes with a three-colour camouflage. Details are best emphasised with a wash, and the whole sealed with a matt varnish.

Required tools:

  • Razor saw or nippers to remove resin parts from the casting blocks
  • Hobby knife or scalpel
  • Files and sanding paper for working resin parts
  • Cyanoacrylate glue (for resin parts)
  • Brushes in various sizes
  • Modelling paints (acrylic or enamel)
  • Modelling wash to emphasise details

About the vehicle – Autoblinda Lince:

The Autoblinda Lancia Lince ('Lynx') is an Italian light scout car of World War II, modelled on the British Daimler Dingo. Small and agile, armed with a machine gun, it was used for reconnaissance and auxiliary duties.

The vehicle was built in small numbers and used mainly in the final period of the war, among others by Italian and German units for anti-partisan and patrol tasks.

Original specifications (Autoblinda Lince):

  • Length: approx. 3.24 m
  • Width: approx. 1.75 m
  • Armament: 8 mm machine gun
  • Role: reconnaissance and auxiliary duties
  • Class: light armoured car
  • Period: World War II

About the manufacturer – Zebrano:
