This set is specially designed to provide the essential colors used by the Soviet Army during the Afghanistan War (1979–1989). The camouflage pattern introduced in the 1970s combined three main tones applied to vehicles such as the T-55 and T-62 MBTs, BMP-1 and BMP-2 IFVs, BTR-60 and BTR-70 APCs, and MT-LB armored vehicles. In addition to these camouflage colors, the set includes a washable dust shade, perfect for reproducing the heavy dust and weathering typical of vehicles deployed in Afghan terrain.
